You are completely right. Maria Sharapova and Daniela Hantuchova are playing as i type my response. It should be one heck of a match because both are playing great tennis right now. Hantuchova has her streak of nine straight wins at the Pacific Life Open on the line, while Maria has her seventeen match win streak for the year. Of course someone has to lose, and my bet is for Sharapova to get through to the semifinals.
Looking at their head to heads Sharapova leads 6-1, and only once has Hantuchova taken her to three sets. But Sharapova had a tough match yesterday, and i think that may affect her play today. Plus Hantuchova really enjoys playing here, but I'm still going to give it to Sharapova in straight sets, OK maybe three.
One streak is going to end tonight...this is probably the match of the tournament thus far, men or women.
I like both so I wish this could be a finals match, or at least the semifinals. =( my money's on Maria to win in 3 sets again.
