Look at it as an opportunity to make new friends instead of hooking up. If it eventually turns into more fine if not you have new friends.
I like to dance. There are places around here to go dancing. The regulars dance together as friends and when there is no ''fresh meat'' in the building we have each other to have fun with. You can't have too many friends.
Go to a place where there will be women. Then go around ad introduce yourself to them one by one. Eventually one will talk to you - there, you've met a woman!
Make all your jokes really cheesy, they'll be so cheesy that it'll be funny.
