I am meeting an older woman for drinks tonight. Normally I am a beer drinker, but I want this woman to be totally blown away by my drink order. It should be something that shows I'm classy and sophisticated, yet unique and vigorous. Any ideas?

If you like to drink beer then order a microbrew. Order something obscure. You might find a new beer you like and there's nothing wrong with drinking beer. It's become socially acceptable now. Much like wine, different beers are paired with different kinds of food. Find out what if any microbrews the place you're going to has on hand and do a little research. That way, you can impress her with what you know about the beer. For example, where it's brewed, what kind of beer it is and so on. Most of all; just be yourself. Have a great time and good luck.
Personally I think you should just be yourself. However, how about ordering a glass of good cabernet or pinot noir? (NOT merlot!) If she seems intrigued, you could offer to order the bottle and split it with her. That also can give you some conversation about the wine. Good luck!

Perfect Manhattan or a Single Malt Scotch neat. Probably Glenlivet seeing as how this is what most bars carry. Very sophisticated, as well as masculine.
order a highball with bourbon and ginger ale. thats a good old fashioned gentleman's drink. either that or a gin and tonic.
