I've broken up w/my long term girlfriend - I've come to realize that I'm going to fully transition to become a woman. (I was born male but I've been presenting myself as a woman in public and finding that's where I belong). I'm heartbroken over the loss of my girlfriend, but I understand it and hope to be friends again soon - and she does too. But last night I met a really nice guy at a dance and . . . he asked me out last night. My heart is aching, but I have to admit that I'm excited about the going out w/him. What would you do?
This is sudden...you should always give yourself time after a break-up to recover. You do not want to be emotional, sad or down on such an important first date!
If you have supporting friends, that feel comfortable with you, do a group type date, where you all go to eat and to a dance afterwards. Do something light, nothing expensive, lengthy or forceful. Do not attempt to try anything at all at first. Be simply friends.
If you feel it may develop, after a few dates, be open and honest about YOU. Also allow him/her to ask questions, and to reveal their personalities as well.
Always have a way out, and also allow your date a way out so that neither of you gets hurt.
Remember, this is dating, not all dates work out to be a long-term so don't be devastated if it is short-lived. Learn from all your relationships, learn what ytou like and what you need too.
Best of luck.
It would only be fair to tell him YOU'RE A MALE!
Sorry can't help. EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW!!
Hmm this is a tough one...I would say to listen to yourself on this one and go with what YOU truly feel..Good Luck ;)
it will only seem right to tell him ur a male and that your in the process of becoming a woman and it will be up to him whether he wants to date u or not.
